Michelle Somers President

Michelle has been a right of way agent since 2014 and is currently employed by Coleman Engineering Company as a contract right of way agent for Wisconsin Public Service in Green Bay. She has been a member of Badger Chapter 17 since 2014 and also serves as the newsletter editor and is co-chair of the education committee and course coordinator. She was th 2018 Professional of the Year for Chapter 17. She has an associates degree in paralegal studies from Chippewa Valley Technical College.

Jeff Olson President Elect

Jeff graciously returns to chapter office after several years off. He has been an appraiser with Compass Land Consultants for a number of years. He conducts appraisals for linear projects throughout the upper midwest. He can often be found before Wisconsin Condemnation Commissions or in court as an expert witness.

Laura Heier Treasurer

Laura is an appraiser with Compass Land Consultants. She works throughout Wisconsin appraising property for public projects.
When not working she enjoys doing fun activities with her husband and children.

Norm Pawelczyk Secretary
Norman has been employed at WisDOT since 1997. He has held Real Estate Specialist positions at WisDOT in the areas of negotiation, appraisal, relocation and appraisal review. He was a past Real Estate/Plat Development Supervisor and is now the Bureau of Technical Services Chief in the areas of real estate, access management, and utility coordination. He has an associate degree in Real Estate Appraisal and Assessment, a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s degree in Business Management and Organizational Development. He holds licenses as a WI Certified General Appraiser, WI Assessor 2 and WI Real Estate Broker and holds the SR/WA designation.
